Portrait of Sultan Suleiman sold for £ 350 thousand

Portrait of Sultan Ottoman State Suleiman Magnificent left with a hammer at Sotheby’s auction in the UK for 350 thousand pounds sterling (4 million Turkish lira).

Anadolu reports that the picture dated XVI-XVII centuries is four times more expensive than the start price lot.

On a picture of 22.7, a 43-year-old ruler of the Ottoman state Suleiman is depicted at 22.7 cm. The portrait made presumably shortly after the victory over the Fleet of the Crusaders in the sea battle of the preveaving.

Picture from the XIX century was kept in a private collection of one of the French families.
