Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, who leads the Esh Atid party, recognized the election on Thursday, Israeli media reported with reference to his office.
It is noted that Lapid also sent congratulations to Benjamin Netanyahu, who heads the Likud party.
According to the statement of the Lapid’s office, he instructed to prepare an organized transfer of power.
In the meantime, the Central Electoral Commission of Israel completed the counting of votes in the elections to the Knesset. The result includes the calculation of both ordinary and about 460,000 double envelopes. The right -religious block, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, scored 64 mandates, the party of the current government coalition – 51.
Parliamentary elections were held in Israel on November 1. These elections have become fifths in the country over the past three years.
