Power replaced in Zambia

The current president of Zambia Edgar Longu recognized his defeat on the completed presidential election, reports Ar.

E. Lungu is held by the presidency since 2015.

The election commission of Zambia announced earlier that the victory in the presidential election won the opposition leader Khakinda Hichilema, typing more than 2.8 million votes.

“I accept the results of the vote and will comply with the provisions of the Constitution for the peaceful transition of power. I congratulate on the election of President Khakinda Khachilem,” Lungu said in television circulation.

For Hichille, the current presidential elections became sixth ones in which he participated as a candidate. He is the leader of the leading opposition United Party for National Development. In 2015, he lost the election of Edgar Lunga, recognizing his victory.
