In Armenia in the city of Gyumri, where in October, elections to local governments should pass, pre-election posters depicted by Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared. Billboards posters argue for the Communist Party of Armenia, which also participates in the municipal elections in the city, where the 102nd Russian military base is located. It is reported by Armenian Radio Liberty Service.
According to the message, Putin’s image on the poster is accompanied by the inscription “forever together.” It depicts the Kremlin, the flags of Armenia and Russia. And on the opposite side of the poster – campaign information in favor of the Communist Party of Armenia. Also used slogan “Forever with Russia”.
In the Communist Party, Armenia stated that advertising shields were ordered by a member of the party by Erzhannik Kazaryan.
Kozaryan himself refused to inform the Armenian service how many billboards he ordered how much money was spent on this or who provided financing. He commented on the inscriptions “forever together” and “forever with Russia”: “And what should it be written there?” Forever together “or” forever with Russia “has always been the opinion of most Armenian people. I am well aware of the work that has been done For these 30 years, to destroy the Armenian-Russian relations, about work, which was partially crowned with success, is aware of who this work is conducted and how. “
Armenian Radio Liberty Service Notes, Some residents of Gyumri did not notice these posters, and someone wondered why posters depicting a leader of another state appeared in their city.
“What did those who installed these posters do not do this. We are an independent country, we have our own statehood, we celebrate Independence Day. It’s just a shame … as if you want to say that soon you will refuse your independence, “complained one of the city’s inhabitants.
“Presence” Putin in the cities of Armenia caused violent discussions and on social networks.
In Gyumri, two posters depicting Putin are installed. Cossaryan does not exclude the order and other posters symbolizing Armenian-Russian friendship.
