President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accepted Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov. During the meeting, the issues of trade, energy and transport, as well as the process of normalizing Azerbaijani-Armenian relations were discussed.
According to the statement of the Communications Department, the Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and chief adviser to the president Akif Chagatai Kylych also attended the reception at the presidential complex.
The President said that efforts to increase the volume of trade between Turkey and Azerbaijan until 15 billion dollars are successfully continued. He emphasized that in the interests of both countries to act together and fully cooperate in the field of energy and transport.
Pointing to the significance of the Transkaspian Railway and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the president noted the need for more efficient use of these roads.
At a meeting, which also discussed the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Erdogan emphasized that the urgent discovery of the Zangesur corridor and the speedy implementation of a comprehensive peace agreement is important for the normalization process.
