Türkiye will establish serial production of the domestic KAAN fighter. The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this, speaking at the presentation of the industry and technology development strategy until 2030. The event was held in the presidential complex in Ankara on Wednesday, March 26.
Erdogan announced several initiatives, including the integration of the air defense system using a “steel dome” to create a single defense network.
The head of state also noted that Türkiye is developing a national satellite system that will improve the country’s capabilities in the production of satellites and increase its international competitiveness.
In addition, the president announced plans to create a national quantum institute that will contribute to the development of human resources and research infrastructure in the field of quantum technologies.
In the field of energy, Türkiye plans to create a nuclear technology park and develop its own modular nuclear reactor, which should be an important step in strengthening the country’s position in the nuclear energy market.
