Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the statement, the common communication department of the Presidential Administration, Erdogan congratulated Aliyev on the victory of the New Azerbaijan party, whose leader he is in the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
noting that the results of the elections indicate the trust of the fraternal Azerbaijani people to the activities of Aliyev and his party, Erdogan said that it is gratifying that the elections were held in a democratic situation, in the world and tranquility.
President Erdogan also emphasized the importance of holding elections in all sovereign territories of Azerbaijan, including for the first time in regions freed from the occupation.
