President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mahmud.
According to the statement published on social networks, the Office for Communications of the Administration of the President of Turkey, during a telephone conversation, during which bilateral relations between Turkey and Somalia were discussed, regional and global issues, the head of the Turkish state emphasized the importance that Turkey gives territorial integrity and Somali’s unity
President Erdogan said that the support provided by Somalia in the fight against terrorism will continue. According to him, Türkiye continues active intermediary activities to resolve the conflict between Somalia and Ethiopia.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that cooperation between the two countries in many areas, especially in energy and defense, will expand.
