During the meeting of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with Italy Prime Minister Georgia Meloni discussed bilateral ties, the Middle East and Ukraine.
According to the Directorate of Relations under the Administration of the President of Turkey, President Erdogan met with the Italian prime minister in the fields of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
“The central place in the conversation was reserved for an increasingly aggravating situation in the Middle East, as well as a joint commitment in the issue of supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the desire for a fair and strong world,” the message said.
In the context of bilateral relations, a general desire was confirmed as soon as possible to conduct a summit and business forum between the governments of the two countries in order to further strengthen ties, ”the message says.
