President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a video conference with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Enver Ibrahim.
According to the statement of the Presidential Communications Department, Erdogan said that at the invitation of Prime Minister Malaysia Ibrahim, he would visit Malaysia as soon as possible.
He noted that Turkish-Malaysian relations were further developed on the basis of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
President Erdogan also expressed satisfaction with the approval given by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to open a trade representative office in Malaysia.
adding that cooperation between countries in the defense industry is developing intensively, President Erdogan emphasized that the parties to meet the needs of Malaysia in this area want to complete the work on the memorandum of understanding.
President Erdogan noted the need to develop a firm and decisive common position against attacks on the Qur’an. He said that in this regard, decisions made at an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIG) are important.
The head of the Turkish state pointed out the importance of including FETO in the list of terrorist organizations and expressed hope for decisive support in this matter by Prime Minister Malaysia Ibrahim.
