Voting in the elections of the President of North Macedonia officially ended on Wednesday, April 24.
Gordanda Silyanovsk -Davkova – candidate from the leading opposition party “Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization – the Democratic Party for the Macedonian National Unity” (HMRO – DPMNU). According to the results of the calculation of 94.84 percent of the Bulletins Silyanovsk-Davkova, she gained 40.19 percent of the vote, the country’s state election commission said.
For the current president of North Macedonia, about 19.4 percent of voters voted. The politician was put forward to the post of head of state from the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia.
In third place is the Foreign Minister of Northern Macedonia Buyar Osmani from the Left -Procedure Democratic Union for integration. He received 13.43 percent of the vote.
The voter turnout in the first round amounted to 49.85 percent.
The second round of voting will be held on May 8.
