Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev adopted a delegation led by the chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

According to the press service of the Council in Telegram, the meeting was held in Baku as part of the official visit of the delegation of the upper house of the Russian parliament.
It is noted that during a frank long conversation, a wide range of issues of a bilateral agenda was discussed. The topics of the expansion of trade, economic, cultural interaction are affected.
Speaker of the SF noted that the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan are in constant contact and thanked for the attention that they devote to inter -parliamentary and interregional cooperation – an important component of interstate relations.
Interlocutors also discussed the current international situation.
