President of Azerbaijan awarded distinguished Turkish athletes in Yerevan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to award Turkish athletes Giance Bektash, Gamza Altun and Nuray Güngyun Medal “Teregga”.

The text of the order of the head of state is posted on Friday on the official website of the President of AR.

The document says that the athletes were awarded medals for dedicated to Azerbaijan of Victory at the European Championship in Wring in Yerevan. “The actions of the Turkish athletes became a manifestation of fraternal indestructible relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey,” the

On April 14, at the opening ceremony in the capital of Armenia, a provocation was made with a demonstrative burning flag of Azerbaijan. Immediately after the incident, Baku recalled the national team.

At the same time, in solidarity with the fraternal country, Turkish athletes who won medals at the championship devoted their victories to Azerbaijan.
