President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko pardoned 15 convicts with his decree. On Friday, January 24, the press service of the head of the Belarusian state reports.
“Five women and three men who have committed an extremist -orientation crimes are pardoned. Five of them have children, one woman is pregnant,” follows the text.
Seven people (including three women) convicted of illegal turnover of narcotic drugs are also pardoned. Six of them committed crimes at a minor age.
One convicted person who committed a crime in adulthood has detected an oncological disease.
Over the past year, on the basis of the principles of humanity, the President of Belarus has pardoned 293 people (including 89 women, 17 people who committed crimes at the minor age), the press service noted.
Each pardon is a manifestation of mercy, a chance to return to a normal life and become a law -abiding member of society.
