The situation on the state border of Belarus remains difficult. This was stated by President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko, when approving the decision to protect the state border in 2025, the press service of the head of state reports.
It is important not only to protect the border, but also to see possible threats in time, the head of state noted.
“Traditionally, at the beginning of the year, as we are accepted, we once again approve the decision to protect the state border. Today’s decision is not just a line of the state border on Earth, by water and in the air. This is a serious decision to protect sovereignty and the defense of our state, ”Lukashenko emphasized.
The president noted that in the protection of Belarusian borders, in a broad sense, all power structures from the police to the military are involved, because it is difficult to ensure the protection of more than 3.6 thousand km.
“I will say frankly. Along with the protection of the state border by the border troops, the most important issue is that they warn us in time,” the head of state said.

Other departments are also engaged in this, but first of all this is the task of border guards – to warn about possible security threats, Lukashenko drew attention.
“The situation at the borders is not easy, we constantly talked about it and talk about this. Today, not only border guards, but also customs officers, especially at the checkpoints. The queues on one and the other hand are huge, this is an additional load on our border guards”, – added the Belarusian leader.
