President of Finland spoke again about membership in NATO

“NATO membership will strengthen tensions in relations with Russia, but will ensure most sufficient security.” This was stated by the President of Finland Sauli Niistinia in an interview with the public television channel Yle TV1, reports UNIAN.

According to him, the greatest benefit from NATO membership will be a “preventive effect”, but also the risk of various types of response of Russia, including hybrid threats.

Niistinje also said that the benefits of NATO membership outweigh negative consequences and which is extremely important to find solutions to improve the security of his country.

“Sufficient safety is when the Finns may feel that there is no emergency and will not”, – summed up the Finnish leader.
