Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that she was not going to resign against the backdrop of attempts by the ruling party to declare impeachment.
She stated this in her television show, which was broadcast by the first channel of the public broadcaster of Georgia.
“I won’t go anywhere … I think everyone should forget the dream of my resignation,” Zurabishvili emphasized.
Zurabishvili noted that she would answer only to the Georgian people.
“I only answer you, because you chose me, and I feel a great responsibility for this choice. You chose me for who I am and was my whole life – a supporter of Europe, a supporter of the European future Georgia,” – The Georgian President emphasized.
Last week, the Georgian Dream announced that the impeachment of Salome Zurabishvili was starting the impeachment procedure due to the fact that she went with visits not agreed upon by the government.
