President Of Georgia May Be Deprived Of State Prescriptions After Expiration Of Term Of Office

In Georgia, amendments to the Law “On Special State Protection Service” have been initiated, according to which the president of the country for violation of the Constitution may lose his state guard after the expiration of presidential powers. This is reported by local media.

According to amendments, the president, Prime Minister or chairman of the parliament will be deprived of the state preservation that he has relied during the expiration of the term of office if the Constitutional Court of Georgia confirms the violation of the Basic Law of the country.

The term of powers of the current president of the country Salome Zurabishvili expires on December 16.
