Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili called the “another Russian provocation” the abolition of the Moscow visa regime for Georgian citizens.
“Another Russian provocation! The renewal of direct flights and the abolition of the visa regime with Georgia is unacceptable until Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine and occupies our territory,” the politician wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree providing for the abolition of a visa regime for Georgian citizens when visiting Russia for up to 90 days.
By another decree, the President of the Russian Federation canceled the ban on the flights of Russian airlines and the sale of tours to Georgia.
In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry canceled the recommendation of June 21, 2019 to refrain from traveling to Georgia.
