President Of Kazakhstan Accepted Heads Of Special Services From CIS Countries

Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev met with the participants of the 55th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Bodies and Special Services of the CIS countries. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader.

Tokaev noted that this site has established itself as a tool for coordinating the efforts in the field of security, and in modern conditions the role of the Council increases even more.

The head of the Kazakh state also emphasized that the timely exchange of operational and analytical information can increase the effectiveness of confrontation with the calls and threats of regional security, and helps to develop coordinated approaches to protect the national interests of our countries.

In addition, Tokaev expressed confidence that the results of the meeting will create conditions for the further development of the interaction of special services of the Commonwealth states, contributing to the strengthening of cooperation in the field of ensuring international security.

The meeting was attended by the leaders of the delegations of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the Executive Committee and the Anti -Terrorism Center of the CIS.

In Astana, the 55th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Bodies and Special Services of States – Participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States is being held in Astana.

The Center for Public Relations (COOs) of the FSB of the Russian Federation reported that during the plenary meeting, members of the Council would pay special attention to improving the interaction of special services of the CIS countries in the fight against terrorism and religious extremism.

It is also planned to develop measures to activate cooperation when organizing the search for members of international terrorist organizations and other radical elements on the entrance and exit channels to the CIS state.

“Participants in the meeting will consider the draft cooperation program of the CIS participants in the fight against terrorism and extremism for 2026 – 2028,” the Russian department said.
