President Of Kyrgyzstan And Secretary General Of CSTO Discussed Regional Security

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on the eve of, February 13, adopted the general secretary of the Organization of Collective Security Treaty (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov. This is stated in the press service of the head of state

According to the report, a wide exchange of views on the issues of ensuring regional security and stability was held, as well as interaction within the organization.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic was presented with a plan for the implementation of the decision of the autumn (2024) session of the CSTO collective security council and the implementation of priority areas of the CSTO during the presidency of Kyrgyzstan.

In this context, the president expressed confidence that the priorities of the KR, laid down during the chairmanship of 2025, will have a positive impact on the improvement of the collective security system in all its basic elements: coordination of political activity, military cooperation, counteracting transnational challenges and threats. < /p>

Imangali Tasmagambetov, in turn, thanked the leadership of Kyrgyzstan for an active position in the framework of the organization and expressed confidence that the inherent initiatives would help strengthen collective security and increase the efficiency of interaction between CSTO member states.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation within the CSTO, noting the importance of joint efforts to ensure stability in the region.
