President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on Wednesday, December 4, as part of an official visit to Korea, took part in the investment dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea, held in Seoul.
This is stated in a message from the press service of the head of state.
Zhaparov emphasized the significance of such meetings to create strong cooperation mechanisms between business circles of the two countries.
The head of state announced the results of negotiations with Korea President Yun Sok Yol, during which the parties established a comprehensive partnership and outlined plans to strengthen bilateral interaction.
Sadyr Zhaparov spoke in detail about the reforms carried out in Kyrgyzstan aimed at modernizing public administration, creating a favorable investment climate and digitalization.
The President also focused on large investment projects implemented in Kyrgyzstan, such as the construction of the Kambaratinsky hydroelectric power station, launch of small and medium hydroelectric power plants, as well as the construction of the China – Kyrgyz -Uzbekistan railway.
He invited Korean companies to participate in these strategic projects, noting that the introduction of Korean technologies will open up new prospects for bilateral cooperation.
Sadyr Zhaparov outlined that a number of legislative measures were adopted to create a favorable investment environment in Kyrgyzstan, including the Law on the Protection of the Rights of Private Entrepreneurs and Foreign Investors.
The president emphasized that investors have direct access to the leadership of the country, and assured that a fundamentally new approach to doing business is being formed in Kyrgyzstan.
At the end of the forum, President Sadyr Zhaparov invited representatives of the Korean business to visit Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing the country’s openness for international cooperation and new opportunities for investors.
