President Of Kyrgyzstan Zhaparov In Vatican Met With Pope Francis

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov in the Vatican met with Pope Francis.

According to the press service of the press center of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Zhaparov and his wife Aigul Zhaparov met with the pope in the Vatican.

During the meeting, the president said that Kyrgyzstan is a secular and multinational state, representatives of dozens of ethnic groups live in the country and consent.

Emphasizing inter -religious harmony in his country, Zhaparov noted that all religious communities in the country are an integral part of society and play an important role in the development of the country.

Pope Francis also praised Kyrgyzstan to support a multinational and multi -religious society and emphasized the importance of further work to preserve these values.

As part of the official visit of Sadyr Zhaparov to Italy Kyrgyzstan and Italy, they signed agreements on extradition, on the transfer of convicts, cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the joint production of audiovisual products.
