Russian President Vladimir Putin examined samples of unmanned aerial vehicles on the site of the Special Technology Center in St. Petersburg.
The head of state examined the exhibition of samples of robotics complexes, according to Thursday, September 19, Russian state media.
President was demonstrated by caterpillar platforms, kamikazha drones, reconnaissance complexes with an unmanned aerial vehicle, a sample of barracking ammunition.
According to the Kremlin’s press service, the head of state is accompanied by the first deputy chairman of the government, Denis Manturov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration-Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, Assistant President Aleksey Dyumin, Minister of Defense Andrei Belousov, General Director of StC Roman Agafonnikov.
The center, founded in 2001, has its own production base of the full cycle – from the development work to serial manufacturing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of products.
The enterprise is a manufacturer of unique unmanned aerial vehicles of the Orlan family – the most popular in the world in its class. Since 2021, small spacecraft of the Cubesat type has been developing here, its own flight management center has been formed. The head office of the company is located in St. Petersburg, structural units are located in 16 regions of the country.
