President Of Russian Federation Met With Head Of Syrian Regime Bashar Assad

Russian President Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin with the head of the Syrian regime Bashar Assad.

The head of the Russian state noted that the interlocutors have the opportunity to talk throughout a complex of bilateral relations.

“We have not seen each other for a long time. Of course, I am very interested in your opinion on how the situation in the region is generally developing. Unfortunately, it tends to exacerbate, we see it. It also applies to Syria directly,” – – – – Putin said.

The Russian leader also noted the existence of promising directions for the development of trade and economic ties between the two countries. “I hope that we can with you and discuss this,” said the President of the Russian Federation.

The head of the Syrian regime, in turn, said that his visit coincides with the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to him, during the past decades of the Russian Federation and Syria, very complex trials were passed.

These decades have witnessed complex transformation processes within the two countries, said the head of the Syrian regime.

However, for all these decades, relations between the Russian Federation and Syria have retained their confidential level, and this is an indicator of the maturity of the peoples of the two countries, Bashar al -Assad noted. “Given all those events that take place today in the world as a whole and in the Eurasian region, our meeting today seems very important for discussing all the details of these events, to discuss possible prospects and scenarios,” he added.

The last time a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Syrian regime Bashar Assad took place on March 23 after a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.

Assad condemned the attack, emphasizing that Syrian citizens share the pain and sorrow of the Russian people. And the last personal meeting of Putin and Assad took place on March 15 last year also in the Kremlin.
