Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Muslims on the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and the completion of the post.
“I cordially congratulate the Muslims of Russia on the holiday of Uraza-Bayram, who marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan,” his press service quotes the head of state on Wednesday, April 10.
Putin noted that over the centuries, Uraza Bayram personifies the joy of renewal for the followers of Islam, the desire for moral improvement, purity of thoughts and actions.
Muslims of Russia carefully store the richest historical, cultural, religious traditions of their ancestors and, following the fatherly covenants, celebrate this holiday in their communities and the family circle, provide assistance to those in need, the Russian leader noted.
According to Putin, Muslim organizations are creatively participating in the country’s life, in the implementation of demanded patriotic, educational, charitable initiatives, fruitfully interact with state and public structures, pay priority attention to the education of the younger generation, support participants and veterans of special military operations, their relatives and loved ones, make a great contribution to strengthening the cohesion of the Russian people, saving interethnic consent.
“I wish Muslims of Russia health, success and all the best,” the report said.
