President Of South Korea: Cooperation With United States Grew Into “nuclear” Alliance

After signing a joint plan for nuclear deterrence, the cooperation of South Korea and the United States grew into a “nuclear” alliance.

This is the President of South Korea Yun Sok Yol at the Cabinet of Ministers, Yonhap reports.

“We took a position that will quickly and effectively respond to any nuclear threat from North Korea,” said the head of state.

Yun Sok Yol also called on ministers to quickly implement the measures of support for regions affected by heavy rains in the country in recent days.

The United States and South Korea on July 11 signed a joint plan for nuclear deterrence aimed at improving cooperation “amid the growing nuclear and rocket threat of North Korea.”

During a meeting in Washington, US President Joe Biden and President of South Korea Yun Sok Yol called a step taken against North Korea, “huge progress.”

Any nuclear attack of North Korea against the south will be met by a “quick, crushing and decisive answer,” emphasized in the document.

The leaders of the two countries emphasized that the document will provide a “foundation for strengthening on a comprehensive basis of the American-Korean expanded deterrence”.
