On Tuesday, on November 12, in Baku, in the framework of the 29th conference of the parties to the UN framework to change the climate, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Asian Development Bank Masatsuu Asagawa. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of 26-year cooperation, during which the Asian bank financed 158 large projects, including energy infrastructure, transport, agriculture and education.
The emphasis was on the importance of attracting additional investments and continuing economic reforms to increase the stability of the Tajikistan economy to external challenges.
Particular attention was paid to the need to allocate grant tools to maintain the process of reforms, the state budget and the implementation of priority projects. The prospects for the development of industry, agriculture, hydropower plants, as well as the digitalization of the economy and the introduction of “green” technologies in various industries were discussed.
