President Of TRSK: Next Meeting With UN Secretary General Will Be Held With Participation Of Turkey And Greece

President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRK) Ersin Tatars said that an agreement was reached on the next meeting with the UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterrish with the participation of representatives of Turkey and Greece.

This was stated by Anadol’s leader TRSK at a press conference after an unofficial dinner, which was at the invitation of Guterres in the UN building.

Tatars noted that the position of TRSK remains unchanged. “I proposed a new vision, because over 50 years, the attempts of a federal decision were unsuccessful,” he added.

The leader of the Turkish-kipriota emphasized that without recognizing the sovereign equality and international status TRK, it makes no sense to return to official negotiations.

Tatars noted that a wide range of issues was discussed at dinner, including ongoing embargoes and isolation.

“We agreed with the UN Secretary General that the next meeting will take place with the participation of Turkey and Greece,” said President TRSK.

The President also said that they and the leader of the Greek community of Cyprus Nikos Christolidis decided to organize a meeting in Cyprus to discuss the issue of opening new border crossings.

According to him, if the requirements are acceptable, the meeting will be implemented.
