President Of Turkmenistan Pardoned 276 Convicts On Occasion Of Day Of Neutrality

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymuhamedov pardoned 276 people convicted in the country for committed crimes, but regretting the deed and repented in their actions. This was reported by the Turkmen news agency “Turkmenistan Today”.

The President of Turkmenistan held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Turkmenistan in foreign countries and representative offices of the country under international organizations. Priority issues of foreign policy implemented by neutral Turkmenistan in the international arena were made on the agenda.

As part of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan signed a decree on the pardon of 276 citizens on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality, celebrated in the country on December 12. In particular, Berdimuhamedov pardoned citizens convicted of committed crimes, but regretting the deed and sincerely repented in this. The chairman of the commission was entrusted with the heads of law enforcement agencies to take the necessary measures so that all those released from the places of imprisonment would return to their families in the near future.
