President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Istanbul to meet with the head of the Turkish state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
A plane with the Ukrainian leader and the accompanying delegation on board landed at the Ataturk Airport.
The Ukrainian delegation was met by Turkish officials.
As part of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation, the meeting of Zelensky with President Erdogan will be held.
During the meeting, the course of the ongoing armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia will be discussed. In addition, it is planned to discuss in detail the situation regarding the continuation of the agreement on a grain corridor and the search for a long -term world in the region. One of the issues of the agenda will also be Turkish-Ukrainian relations.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Zelensky made a visit to Turkey on July 7, 2023. The meeting was held in the Presidential Residence of Vakhdetin in Istanbul. Based on the results of the negotiations, the ceremony of signing the protocol containing a memorandum of understanding regarding “cooperation in the field of strategic industries” between the two countries.
In addition, Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Turkey for a firm position on the issue of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as for the support of the Black Sea grain initiative.
