US President Joe Biden and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Melony, following a meeting in the White House, announced their intention to continue assistance to Ukraine, the press service of the White House.
“The USA and Italy will continue to provide political, military, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine as much as it will be required,” the report said.
Biden and Meloni announced “the need to eliminate the global consequences of the conflict, in particular for stability, energy and food security of vulnerable countries”.
In addition, both leaders announced the importance of providing Ukraine with the opportunity to export agricultural products through the Black Sea.
“The parties also undertake to further coordinate the efforts to restore Ukraine and recognized the role that Italy will play in these efforts, since Italy will preside the G7 in 2024 and accept the conference on the restoration of Ukraine in 2025,” noted the White House .
