President of Uzbekistan outlined priority areas for Council of Foreign Investors

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a session of the Council of Foreign Investors proposed the creation of working groups in areas and outlined the priorities of the further activities of the Council.

According to the presidential press service, Mirziyoyev noted that there is a tendency to strengthen instability in the global economy, the consequences of energy, food and environmental crises are increasingly acute.

“In such conditions, only coordinated, mutual, specific practical actions will allow us to achieve the intended borders,” said the head of state.

The President noted the activities of the working group that contributed to the preparation of draft laws on investments and special free zones aimed at improving the investment and business climate in Uzbekistan.

According to the Uzbek leader, the interaction and the open dialogue between the government and the business community are the key to effective economic development. Mirziyoev proposed the creation of working groups in directions and outlined the priorities of the further activities of the Council.

The head of state called one of the priority areas of the development of the capital market. “In this direction, it is proposed to pay attention to the issues of wide attracting internal and external capital to the development of the International Financial Center, which fully meets the requirements of foreign investors,” he said.

The second, according to the president, is responsible business. “We are talking about the wide implementation of the relevant principles of the organization of economic cooperation and development aimed at ensuring stability, transparency and openness of the economy,” Mirziyoyev said.

The Uzbek leader also called the question of stimulating alternative investments.

According to him, in order to create favorable conditions for increasing startups, innovative projects and joint investments, a new law “On venture investments” will be developed

, as the fourth important direction, the president designated the digitalization of the system of work with investors.

I think the time has come for the development and wide implementation of a new electronic platform for the provision of services to foreign investors. This will allow timely and systematically solve integrated problems, ”the president emphasized.

He expressed confidence that thanks to the active support of members of the Covet, Uzbekistan will continue to demonstrate steady growth, will be able to increase the standard of living of the people and ensure the prosperous future of the country.
