President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the markets should be turned into a “business card” of the country and noted the importance of studying the experience of Turkey and the Arab countries in this matter.
The head of state got acquainted with the presentation on the development of infrastructure of trade and services, the construction of cultural and tourism objects.
The relevant instructions were given at a video recording meeting, which was on December 18 last year. In particular, it was indicated the need to effectively use the large tourist potential of our country, increase the number of tourist facilities and places of deployment of guests.
In this regard, the head of state was instructed to develop a project of market complexes reflecting our national culture. At the presentation, prepared preliminary projects were considered to turn the markets of historical cities into complexes attractive to tourists.
“You should turn markets into a” business card “of the country, preserving their unique features. Stores of food, clothing, jewelry, gastronomic, entertainment institutions should harmoniously complement each other and attract customers and tourists,” Mirziyoyev said.
