Presidential elections in Senegal are scheduled for March 24. This is stated in the message made following the results of the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Prime Minister Senegal Amada Ba, presidential candidate, left his post in connection with the election campaign. The new Prime Minister of the country was appointed head of the Cabbage Siddle Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, the Constitutional Court canceled the date scheduled for June 2, and decided that the presidential election would be held on March 31.
After the Constitutional Council and the Council of Ministers announced two different dates, the sources in the government confirmed that the elections will be held on March 24.
Defense 3 weeks before the election
In his statement of February 3, Senegal President Maki Sall announced the postponement of the elections on February 25.
