Presidents Of Kazakhstan And Armenia Visited International Financial Center “Astana”

President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev and Armenian President Vaagn Khachaturian, who is on an official visit to the republic, visited the Astana International Financial Center (IFTA).

According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, the manager of the IFC Renat Bekturov told the presidents about the main areas of the financial center and his contribution to the development of regional initiatives.

Presidents were familiarized with the features of the Judicial System of the IFC and with the activities of the court and the International Arbitration Center. They were also told about the work of the Committee for the Regulation of Financial Services of the IFC. It should be noted that a memorandum of the interaction in the field of supervision and regulation of banking and insurance activities, securities markets is operating between the IFCA Committee and the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

It is noted that the volume of investments attracted through the IFC in the economy of Kazakhstan exceeds $ 13 billion, of which 5.9 billion are portfolio investments on the AIX exchange and 7.3 billion – investments of the MFC participants. Today, about 3,200 companies from more than 80 countries of the world work here. Among them are 6 large companies from Armenia that specialize in the areas of information and communication technologies, financial services and insurance.
