Presidents of Kazakhstan and Vietnam visited ceramic village of Chu Dao

Presidents of Kazakhstan and Vietnam Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev and Van Thyong jointly visited the ceramic village of Chu Dao, located in the province of Khaizong, the press service of Akorda reports.

The leaders of Kazakhstan and Vietnam examined the finished product hall and got acquainted with the process of manufacturing ceramic products.

Then the heads of state participated in the manufacture of a ceramic vase on a special machine.

Having examined the village, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Vietnam signed on finished products and left an entry in the book of honored guests.

Chu Tao is an ancient Vietnamese technique of manufacturing ceramics dating from the XII century of our era. It developed in the XIV-XV centuries, and already in the 17th century it disappeared. However, in the 1980s in the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul (Turkey) a vase was found, made by the master of ceramics of Chu Tao;

In 2001, the Hanoi Trade Corporation restored the old craft and created a full -fledged production based on ancient technologies.

The President of Kazakhstan arrived on Sunday on an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The head of state also laid flowers to the monument to national heroes and the Mausoleum of Ho Shi Min. Later, Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev held negotiations with the President of Vietnam in Van Thyong and met with the chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Zaong Dinh Hue.

Further, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Museum of Military History in Vietnam.
