Residents of Tajikistan are given the largest quota for training in Russia, while the country is ready to increase it.
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during negotiations with the Tajik colleague Emomali Rahmon.
Putin noted that Russia and Tajikistan are developing a humanitarian direction. According to him, the Tajikistians were given the largest quota for training in the Russian Federation – 1 thousand people,
“We are constantly increasing and ready to do this in the near future. Thanks to the initiative of Rahmon in the republic, several schools were opened where they study the Russian language. And this is a very interesting and promising direction,” he added.
The President of the Russian Federation said that 72 Russian teachers have been working in Tajikistan now, from 2025 the number will increase to 82.
Putin touched the security sphere in the international arena. According to him, here the cooperation continues “very confidential and constructive” and “precisely as with our closest ally.”
Emomali Rahmon called Russia the main trade and economic partner of Tajikistan according to the results of 2024. So, the turnover between states increased by almost 20%.
He expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of development in all directions.
