Bulgaria authorities will not agree to Russia’s conditions for gas supplies, said the country’s Prime Minister Kirill Petkov, who is quoted by Monde.
According to him, there are enough reserves for more than a month. In addition, by the end of June, Bulgaria plans to complete the construction of a new interconnector with Greece. Sofia also hopes for the help of the European Union in ensuring gas supplies from Azerbaijan, as well as for the purchase of an EU liquefied natural gas.
“We have direct reserves in order to hold out for more than one month if the circumstances do not change. But we hope to complete the construction of a new interconnector with Greece by the end of June. And we also count on the overall procurement strategy of liquefied gas”, “, – said Petkov in an interview with Le Monde.
In addition, according to him, Bulgaria will ask Germany to support that she states that paying for gas in rubles is “unacceptable”.
