Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Russian President Vladimir Putin that now is not the time for the war, since it is necessary to solve world problems with food, fertilizers and fuel. It is quoted by Reuters.
Putin met with Modi on the fields of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand. According to the agency, the prime minister expressed his opinion on Putin on the sidelines. “The real era is not the era of wars, and I spoke with you on the phone,” Modi said, adding that democracy, diplomacy and dialogue retain the world.
During the official meeting, Putin said that he understands Modi’s fears about the war in Ukraine. According to him, Russia will do everything so that the conflict stops as quickly as possible.
