Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan met with heads of border regions of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan

Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov met with the chairman of the Sogdian region of Tajikistan Rajabbo Akhmadzoda and the head of the Ferghana region of Uzbekistan Khairullo Bozarov, the press service of the Kyrgyz government reports.

During the meeting, the head of the Cabinet noted that the resumption of the practice of conducting such regional meetings indicates commitment to strengthening and expanding interaction between border regions.

The readiness of the Kyrgyz side for an open and meaningful conversation throughout the Kyrgyz-Tajik and Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations.

It was noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to the development of cooperation with the border fraternal states – the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual understanding.

“close interregional cooperation, maintaining active contacts between the regions, both in bilateral and multilateral formats will contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the border territories. In this context, it is important to complete the process of delimitation and demarcation of sections of the state border between our countries in the spirit of mutual trust. I am deeply convinced that the final solution of border issues between our countries will contribute to the further strengthening of fraternal relations, strengthen stability and security in the Central Asian region, ”Zhaparov emphasized.

Zhaparov expressed the hope that cooperation between countries would continue to develop and fruitfully develop on the basis of traditional and centuries -old friendship.
