Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal met with the State Secretary of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Passlyin, who arrived in Ukraine on a visit.
“We discussed the establishment of a fair world for Ukraine, food security, the return of prisoners and Ukrainian children. And in this context, he thanked the Holy See for participating in the first summit of the world and supporting its decisions,” Shmygal wrote in telegram.
Shmygal thanked the Vatican for helping the treatment of Ukrainian children and said that Ukraine is counting on the participation and assistance of the Holy See in the restoration of medical infrastructure in Ukraine.
According to Shmygal, a visit to Ukraine and visiting Ukrainian cities during the war, untied the Russian Federation, “indicates a high level of attention to our state.”
