The head of the government noted that at the meeting he voiced the current defense needs of Ukraine, including air defense systems.
“We discussed the issues of purchasing weapons for Ukraine and joint production of weapons,” he stressed.
Shmygal also said that during the meeting, the interlocutors touched on the topic of sanctions.
According to him, “the new package of restrictive measures of the EU should include sanctions against the” shadow fleet “of the Russian Federation, as well as against the nuclear and metallurgical industries.”
“thanked Estonia for the adoption of the law, which allows the use of frozen Russian assets to compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine by the war.
