The production of fish and seafood in Turkey in 2022 compared to a year earlier increased by 6.2 percent to 849,808 tons. This is evidenced by the data of the Institute of Statistics of Turkey.
Fish caught 30 percent of production volumes, and 5.6 percent to collect seafood. 3.9 percent for fishing in internal reservoirs, and 60.6 percent for the production of fish products in aquacultures.

The total production due to fish catching amounted to 335 thousand 3 tons, products produced in aquacultures – 514 thousand 805 tons
Seafood causes increased by 2.3 percent compared to the previous year, and fish fishing in internal reservoirs grew by 0.4 percent.
The volume of the caught sea fish amounted to 254 thousand 535 tons. Among the caught sea fish, the largest amount was Hams (anchovy) – 125 thousand 980 tons.
