The Offhols Control Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan during the inspection of information received from the Ministry of Ecology, numerous violations were identified during the work on the deposits of construction sand and gravel in the Guba and Khachmaz region.
It was found that as a result of abuse of authority from officials, the illegal seizure of the Earth and the violation of the rules for the protection and use of land subsuries from 8 companies and 5 individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities, the environment was damage to the environment exceeding 6 million manat .
Criminal investigation of 13 criminal cases initiated under articles 188.1, 255.1 255.2, 308 1 and 308.2 were sent to the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
