Mubariz Mansimov, an Azerbaijani businessman and head of the Palmali group of companies, accused of having links with the terrorist organization FETÖ, may be released under judicial supervision.
Turkish Haberturk reports that the Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office wished to release Mansimov under judicial supervision.
“Taking into account the stage of the trial, the possible term of the sentence to the accused, the time spent by the suspect in custody, the use of arrest as a preventive measure, the possibility of judicial supervision at this stage, if the accused is not charged or arrested for another crime, he may be released. The punishment can be replaced by freedom, but without the right to leave the place of residence and the country, “- says the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Istanbul.
Note that the trial of Mubariz Mansimov should take place on March 5.
