Protest on Hangkendi Lachin road: 132nd day of struggle for rights of Azerbaijan

Protest, organized by Azerbaijani volunteers and ecologists on the Lachin -Khankendi road demanding the termination of illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Azerbaijan and permission to conduct monitoring on the mines of Gyzylbulag and Demirli, the 132nd day lasts.

The participants of the action traditionally started the day with the performance of the state anthem of Azerbaijan, then performed patriotic songs

In the statements of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, on this subject, attention was focused on the illegal operation of the resources of the Kyzylbulag gold and demirlin copper-molibden mine, access to which is possible only through the Lachinsky road.

In Yerevan, they claim that ongoing protests led to the “Closing of the Road”.

In Azerbaijan, they repeatedly refuted the statements of the Armenian side, stating that the road is open to humanitarian and civil transport. On the Lachin road, both the cars of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the supply of supplies for the Russian military deployed in the region after the Second Karabakh War,

were moved.

Against the backdrop of tension around the Lachinsky road, negotiations on the signing of a peace treaty, including international mediation, were stalled.
