The Kremlin confirmed information about the upcoming trip of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Tehran, which may take place next week. Negotiations will be held not only with Iran President Ibrahim Raisisi, but also with the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, writes RIA Novosti.
“In addition to a tripartite meeting, of course, bilateral ones will also take place. Yesterday we reported the upcoming contacts at the highest level between Putin and Erdogan, this meeting will take place there too,” said Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
Earlier about Putin’s possible visit to Tehran was reported by Mehr. It is believed that Putin and Raisi are going to discuss economic cooperation. “Planning the development of economic cooperation between Iran and Russia will be a priority in negotiations between the presidents of the two countries,” he said.
