Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone negotiations with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the organization of the Collective Security Treaty (CSTO), the Kremlin press service reports.
“Taking into account the current chairmanship of Armenia in the organization of the Collective Security Treaty, the prospects for further interaction under the CSTO are discussed,” the report says.
Putin also briefly informed Pashinian about the progress of negotiations on the security guarantees of Russia.
“At the request of Nicola Pashinian, the President of Russia briefly informed about the progress of negotiations with the United States and their allies on the security guarantees of the Russian Federation,” the Kremlin said.
Putin and Pashinyan also discussed arrangements recorded in tripartite statements of leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia.
