Putin announced date of placement of nuclear weapons in Belarus

The placement of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus will begin immediately after the preparation of structures for him is completed on July 7-8. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at an informal meeting with the Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Sochi.

“Everything is going according to plan. You know, on July 7-8 the preparation of the relevant structures ends, and immediately begin the measures related to the placement of the corresponding types of weapons on your territory,” said the head of the Russian state at breakfast on the veranda in the Bocharov stream .

The quality and structure of economic relations of the Russian Federation and Belarus change in the right direction, Putin noted. “And on security issues, on economic interaction – there is something to talk about. We cannot but rejoice, but even unusual, pah -pah, unusually good – develops at a good pace, in any case. And the quality of interaction, the structure of our economic Relations are changing in the right direction, ”said the President of the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus on May 25 reported that the Minister of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin and the Minister of Defense of Russia Sergey Shoigu signed documents in Minsk that determine the procedure for maintaining Russian non -strategic nuclear weapons in a special republic in the Republic of Belarus.

Khrenin said that Minsk was interested in the further development of strategic allied relations with the Russian Federation in the military sphere. “The placement of non -strategic nuclear weapons is an effective response to the aggressive policy of the countries unfriendly to us,” said the head of the Belarusian department.

In turn, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu said that Russia, placing non -strategic nuclear weapons in Belarus, does not transmit it to the republic. “Control over him and the decision to use the Russian side,” the minister explained.

Lukashenko: Russia and Belarus need to hope only on yourself

Belarus and Russia should only rely on itself and not hope for the abolition of sanctions, Lukashenko said in turn. “To hope that the sanctions will be canceled, we don’t even have to talk about it. We need to focus on ourselves and ourselves,” said the president of Belarus.

The head of state also said that he did not see economic problems in relations with Russia. “Yes, there are economic issues, but not problems. They are solved,” Lukashenko said.

He believes that Belarusian-Russian relations are a rod in the EAEU and the CIS. “We in Moscow agreed with you that we’ll cross at that time. Just our premieres will work [in Sochi]. Still, Belarusian-Russian relations are a rod in the EAEU and in the CIS space. If suddenly there are questions, we will react. You will meet with the prime ministers, ”said Lukashenko.
